This recipe can be made vegan or traditional. I'll share the traditional substitutions for those that may want it. This chocolate fondue base can be used with several essential oils for a variety of healthy and fun dessert ideas.
A great addition for tea time.
3.5 oz Vegan Dark Chocolate or Ghiradelli Chocolate Chips (Use at least 60% dark chocolate or more for a rich creamy fondue.
3.5 oz canned coconut milk (full fat) or heavy cream
1.5 tsp organic turbinado sugar
1-2 drops of your favorite doTERRA Essential Oil
In heat resistant bowl, add chocolate chips, sugar and cream of your choice
Put 2 cups of water at the bottom of Instant Pot
Place rack in the bottom of Instant Pot
Place your heat resistant bowl, with ingredients in it, on the rack in the Instant Pot
Place lid on Instant pot and ensure it's on tight. Make sure the steam vent is in the closed position
Pressure Cook on High for 2 minutes. Then release steam (Don't burn yourself)
Using a kitchen mitt, pull out your bowl and stir ingredients until they are rich and creamy. Lastly, stir in 1-2 drops of your favorite doTERRA Essential Oil. I enjoy lavender and peppermint.
Serve with cakes, cookies, fruit or any other dipping foods of your choice.
Use this as a rich drizzle on cakes too. ENJOY!!!
